My scale is broken

Okay, so maybe it's not but it really should take the blame for my failings.

STARTING WEIGHT: 170 lbs
GOAL WEIGHT: 140 lbs
CURRENT WEIGHT:  173 lbs

It takes a great deal of skill to not only miss your goal but be absolutely nowhere near it!  As you can see, I did an extremely poor job of achieving the weight loss goals I set for myself.  I have no one to blame but myself!  I started with good intentions; motivated and determined.  But eventually the excitement wained and I gave in to temptation.

But...I am proud of some choice I have stuck to.  Including, drinking less soda, eating more salads with less fattening dressings and consistent walking at work at least 3 times a week. In addition, I have also cut down on my portions sizes and second helpings.

Some weeks were more difficult than others.  Whether tha was due to stress, fatigue or women's "lovely' monthly visitor is up for debate.  I snacked more than was beneficial.  Candy bars, cookies and ice cream are delightful but not on my hips.

There's so much I could have done differently.  I'm not giving up.  Not my any means!  I just have to re-examine my goals and take my brother-in-law up on his offer for advice. :-)

I'll still working on this despite any hurdles so if you're struggling too DO NOT GIVE UP!  We can do it.
